The liner notes included inside record jacket explain that Pete attended a Chamber Music presentation in the summer of 1954 at Lennox, Massachusetts. This was known as the home of the Berkshire
Music Festival. He listened to the suites and commented that Its great stuff!
He then decided that he would do a suite of his own called Goofing-Off Suite and produced it on a record through Folkways Records Album No. FA 2045 in 1955.

On the record Pete played the following instruments: Banjo, Guitar, Mandolin and Chalil
